PURPOSE:To prevent the punching of material grippers by an impactor by discriminating whether the 1st working or not and forcing an operator to check the adequateness or inadequateness for starting the impactor in the case of the 1st working. CONSTITUTION:When material grippers 13 ride on dies 9 and an override is detected during working of a material 15 with an NC turret punch press 1, whether the working is to be started for the first time by an entirely new program or the working is the 2nd or the succeeding ones which are continuously executed by exactly the same program as the previous program is discriminated. When the 2nd and succeeding working is discriminted and when an override switch is kept turned ''on'', only the positioning is accomplished without working and the operator continues the working after checking the same by pushing a switch 17. If the override switch is kept turned ''off'', the working is continued as it is but the material was already worked under the same programe and therefore the extents of the movement of the material 15 and the grippers 13 are ought to be the same and the failure of the grippers 13 is obviated. |
