941,738. Diaphragm pumps. ETABLISSEMENTS A. GUIOT. May 30, 1961 [June 17, 1960], No. 19417/61. Heading F1A. In a diaphragm fuel pump having a pulsation absorber in the delivery outlet comprising a closed chamber 11 separated from a delivery chamber 13 by a diaphragm 12, the pressure of a gas e.g. air, contained within chamber 11 is higher than atmospheric pressure when the pump is not working. The pumping diaphragm 2 is reciprocated through a lever 9, e.g. by a cam, a spring 7 performing the delivery stroke. A lever 10 is provided for manual operation. A dome 15 enclosing chamber 11 may have a connection for pumping air into the chamber. A method of assembling the pulsation absorber is described. The pump inlet may be provided with a pulsation absorber comprising an air dome 18 without a diaphragm, as shown, or with a diaphragm.
|
