<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a power-assisting steering with little delay of response by detecting a relative angle between the handle side of a handle shaft and the operation side of a wheel rotation for driving an electric motor on the basis of the detected value for making the relative angle 0. CONSTITUTION:A handle shaft is divided into two parts, 2 and 5, while a rotating member interlocked with a handle 4 and a rotating member interlocked with a wheel direction change mechanism 1 are provided closely to each other, and the relative angle between both rotating members is detected by a detector 10. Based on this detected value, an electric motor 12 is driven by a control unit 11 to make the relative angle between both shaft rotating members to become 0. This construction permits to obtain a power-assisting steering with little delay of response.</p> |
