PURPOSE:To discriminate the 1st or the 2nd calling number at the time of automatic terminating to attain manned and unmanned answering for data transmission by assigning the 1st and 2nd calling numbers for voice and digital communication to a digital telephone set and storing both the calling numbers in an exchange. CONSTITUTION:A subscriber's digital telephone sets 102-1-102-N are connected to the exchange 101 to digitize a voice signal and attain voice and digital communication. A handset 201 processing voice as a terminal and a data terminal 206 are connected to the telephone sets 102-1 102-N, so that a voice signal from the handset 201 is converted into a PCM signal by an encoder/decder 202 and the PCM signal is supplied to a transmission side multiplying device 203. At the processing of data, a data button 212 is depressed to actuate a timing extracting and controlling circuit 208, the device 203 and a reception separating circuit 209, so that data communication is attained. At the time of automatic terminating, the exchange 101 discriminates voice or data communication to attain manned or unmanned answering of data transmission. |
