PURPOSE:To obtain the measuring value of a blood sugar level accurately and stably with the elapse of time, by allowing a liquid to be measured to flow through the enzyme electrode contacted liquid flowline of a flow cell over the entire surface of an electrode while providing a taper for windening the cross- sectional area of the flowline from the inlet side to the outlet side thereof. CONSTITUTION:An enzyme electrode contact liquid flowline 114 of which the cross-sectional area is conventionally formed into a reactangular shape is made circular so that a liquid is contacted with the entire surface of an enzyme electrode and this circular enzyme electrode contacted liquid flowline 114 has a flow path constituted so as to uniformly flow a liquid to be measured. The liquid to be measured is smoothly flowed along the entire surface of the enzyme electrode by this flowline and accurate and stable output is obtained. In addition, the enzyme electrode contacted liquid flowline 114 has a taper so as to widen the cross-sectional area thereof from the inlet side to the outlet side thereof. Of course, the taper direction is set so as to bring the inlet side to a lower part while the outlet side to an upper part in the up-and-down relation in the drawing and it is necessary to easily vent air bubbles. |
