PURPOSE:To make it possible to measure the inner profile of the lining of refractories accurately and to make the repairing work of the damage on the inner surface accurate, by applying accurate estimation from time to time during the measurement with respect to the curved shape of the central axis of a measuring lance, and correcting the measured result based on the above described application. CONSTITUTION:In general, the central axis of a hollow lance 3 is not a stright line as shown by l, but a curve such as l' due to gravidy and vibration, and is changed with time. Therefore measuring errors occur in the information with regard to the position of measuring point and the thickness of the wall of a furnace. In order to correct the error, a laser beam 14 is inputted into the hollow lance 3 usually separately, in the specified direction from the backward of a lance supporting part 4. A distance DELTAy from a reference point A on a detector to a light point B is detected by an optical position detector 15, which is provided in front of the lance. When DELTAy is imparted, the function form of the curve l' is determined. Therefore the geometrical conditions of a laser light projecting part 10 (x=x1) and light receiving part 11 (x=x2) are determined. By this method, the correct position of a laser spot 12b can be detected, and the accurate shape of an inner wall surface 2 of a furnace can be measured. |
