PURPOSE:To smoothly stop a pallet by disposing a braking member on the front of a pallet body in such a manner as to move up and down and extend along a fixed rail and providing the rear portion of the pallet body with a damper where the braking member of a following pallet body is inserted. CONSTITUTION:A pallet body 1 is transported, with slidable contact surfaces 6 thereof brought into contact with the upper surface of a chain 5 by frictional force therebetween. At this time, a braking member 11 pivoted on the front of the pallet body 1 by a shaft 13 is advanced, with projections mounted on the lower surfaces of both sides 12 in contact with fixed rails 2. When the thus transported pallet body 1 reaches in the rear of the preceding stopped pallet body 1', the lower surface of a damper 21 mounted on the rear portion of the pallet body 1 strikes on a roller 20 of the braking member 11 of the pallet body 1'. Therefore, the braking member 11 of the pallet body 1' is turned downward, so that the front of the pallet body 1 is raised to separate its slidable contact surfaces 6 from the chains 5, thereby stopping the pallet body 1. |
