Device for removing bark from posts, characterised in that it comprises a bark removing head 1 composed of a cylinder surmounted with steel bars 18 forged helically and welded so that at no instant are they parallel to the product whose bark is to be removed; this assembly is mounted on a fork 2 provided with two bearings 3 and a spindle 19 allowing a limited and adjustable oscillation. The spindle 19 is mounted in a sleeve welded to the support 16, on this support is placed an electric motor 4 which is fitted with a V-pulley 14 and transmits rotation to the bark removing head 1 via the belts 5 and the pulley 15; this assembly is fixed to the framework 21 by two bearings 22. <IMAGE>
