The invention relates to a scouring tool comprising, on the one hand, a pressurised-fluid-driven motor 2 and on the other a handle 6 to enable the tool to be used. A safety valve 12 is provided, is connected to a spring 17 which stresses it into its closed position, is also connected to a lever 15 which exerts an opposite effect when grasped 15 at the same time as the handle 6, and is located on the pressurised-fluid supply line 9. One application is to the construction of metal brushes turned by pressurised-water motors. <IMAGE>
