发明名称 MAGNETIC RECORDING MEDIUM
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a composite recording medium which can be recorded and reproduced even with a magnetic head as well as the laser light, etc., by forming an amorphous rare earth-transition metal photothermal magnetic recording layer and a cobalt-group vertically magnetized film successively on a nonmagnetic support substrate made of a polymer molded product, glass, etc. CONSTITUTION:An amorphous photothermal magnetic recording layer 18 containing an amorphous rare earth-transition metal, e.g., Gd-Tb-Fe, etc. is formed on a nonmagnetic support substrate 17 of a polymer molded product, glass, etc. Then a vertically magnetized film 19 is formed on the layer 18 by sputtering of Co-Cr, etc. In such a way, a composite magnetic recording medium is obtained. Thus it is possible to perform the recording/reproducing with 0.5 width and 1mu length which is so far impossible with a conventional magnetic head. Such a magnetic disk performs vertical recording to a film 22 (film 19) with a main magnetic pole 23 wound by a coil 24 and performs magnetization for reproduction to a layer 21 (layer 18) which is copied and recorded by the magnetization of the film 22 an by means of a Kerr effect obtained from the side of a substrate 20 (substrate 17).
