An apparatus for distributing aqueous calcium sulphate alpha -hemihydrate suspension over various casting moulds of casting machines which are adapted to the manufacture of gypsum (plaster of Paris) mouldings consists of a collecting device (4) for receiving the calcium sulphate alpha -hemihydrate suspension, a movable line (5) which is connected to the flow of the collecting device (4), several chutes (6) which lead to various casting machines, a funnel (11) for collecting excess material, the chutes (6) protruding into the upper region of the funnel, and a discharge line (12) through which liquids containing calcium sulphate alpha -hemihydrate and running out of the funnel can be recycled to the plaster of Paris preparation equipment. A lifting device (7) is located above the movable line (5) and is frictionally connected with the end of the movable line which faces away from the collecting device. The movable line (5) is furthermore connected to a rotatably mounted pivoting device (8), by means of which the movable line (5) can be moved in a horizontal direction.
