The nozzle comprises a hollow chamber 1 having a lateral double wall 3a, 3b forming an annular space 4, inside which is placed a cylindrical baffle 5 and a double-walled bottom 7a, 7b forming a space 8 which communicates with the said annular space, a fuel supply tube 2 being mounted on the wall 7a of the bottom, the annular space 4 between the lateral walls opening out inside the chamber by means of tangential orifices 10 located near the bottom of the chamber. The supply tube consists of two coaxial tubes, the outer tube 2 being supplied at a variable flow rate controlled by a measurement datum of the temperature of the gases at the outlet of the furnace, while the central tube 12 is connected to an intake of gas at constant flow rate, called pilot gas. Application to furnaces for incinerating gas, for example waste gases originating from sulphur furnaces, requiring a great operational flexibility. <IMAGE>
