PURPOSE:To improve the stability of a car speed sensing PS caused by the sudden change of speed by comparing a car speed signal of the PS due to a variable bypass-discharge throttle with that of a fixed time before for keeping the fixed value within a fixed range as a buffer when the difference is more than a fixed value. CONSTITUTION:A bypass discharge QB is decided according to a speed V, and applied current i to a solenoid of a discharge control valve is determined to obtain the discharge. The value i is compared with a value of i0 of a fixed time before, and when the difference is over a fixed value DELTAiMAX previously set, the applied current i is selected within a fixed range using the fixed value DELTAiMAX as a buffer in accordance with the change between i and i0, that is, the state of sudden acceleration or braking. This construction permits to prevent the unstability due to the sudden change of PS steering-assist force at the time of sudden acceleration or braking. |
