PURPOSE:To minimize coupling loss when both ends of an optical fiber is coupled to a beam splitter, by providing a divided part in the middle of the optical fiber, optimally adjusting the coupling of the beam splitter and both ends of the optical fiber with emitted light at each divided end being observed, thereafter connecting the divided ends, thereby adjusting the coupling optimally. CONSTITUTION:The loop of an optical fiber 1 is cut at one point. A cut end C of the divided optical fiber is the other end with respect to a fiber end A. Meanwhile, a cut end D of the other cut optical fiber D is the other end with respect to a fiber end B. Then, with the fiber B being positioned to a beam splitter 2 through a lens 5, a light emitting element 3 is oscillated. The laser light emitted from the light emitting element 3 is separated by the beam splitter 2, inputted to the fiber end A, and outputted from the cut end C. At this time, with the emitting light at the cut end C being observed, the optimal coupling position of the beam splitter 2 and the fiber end A is located. The fiber end A is coupled to the beam splitter 2 through the lens 5 at this position. Then, with the fiber end B being positioned to the beam splitter through a lens 6, the light emitting element 3 is oscillated. |
