The invention relates to a device for automatically filling bags of different formats with a bulk product, of the type comprising a loading hopper 1 supplied via a chute 2 with the product to be packaged, a bag clamp 4 provided at the lower end of the said hopper 1 and comprising means for holding a bag to be loaded 5 below the said hopper 1 and means for separating the edges of the opening of the bag 5 during its loading, a closure device 12 arranged downstream of the said clamp 4 ensuring closure of the loaded bag 5, a guide 11 arranged between the said clamp 4 and the said closure device 12 for guiding the loaded bag 5 during its displacement between the said clamp 4 and the closure device 12, and a transporter 10 arranged below the said clamp 4 and ensuring the displacement of the bags after loading towards the closure device 12 and then towards the chosen destination, characterised in that the said transporter 1 is mounted on at least one support device 13, 14 which can be adjusted in the vertical direction. <IMAGE>
