The subject of the invention relates to a variable-amplitude mechanical device for spreading out paint over submerged surfaces. It is constituted by the combination of a cam 5 having an adjustable amplitude 7, 8, 9 and of a direct delivery of paint, the supply pipe 11 of which is connected directly from the reservoir to the distributing ring 10 built into the profiled brush 1. It is intended to provide a coating or a spreading-out corresponding to the nature of the treated surface by use of an apparatus having simplified controls for both the feed with paint and the spreading thereof. <IMAGE>
