PURPOSE:To obtain smooth starting of a car on an upward slope by enlarging a time lag as the inclination becomes steeper from the time of the output of a brake releasing command signal to the time of the starting of a brake releasing action of a motor. CONSTITUTION:A motor 6 is driven for rotation to rotate a wind-up member 6 via gear mechanisms 7-9, and a parking brake cable 5 is wound up or upwound to operate or release a brake 3. The operation of this motor 6 is controlled by a controller 11, which receives an inclination signal from an inclination sensor at the start on an upward slope to control a time-lag adjuster, and delivers a brake release command signal to the motor 6 with an adjusted time lag in accordance with the slope. |
