Data recording in hydrographic surveying

In hydrographic surveying, the echo recorder is also used for automatic recording of the bearing data, clock time and so forth, in addition to the ground echo recording. For this purpose, rangefinder, data input devices, digital clock and so forth are connected to labelling electronics which, triggered by the echo recorder, write a marking line onto the echogram and label it line-by-line with the data under electronic control.
