A braking mechanism for a trolley (10) includes a brake disc (29) that overlies castor wheel (19) whereby the brake disc (29) is able to engage the wheel (19) irrespective of the disposition of the wheel (19). The brake disc (29) is biased into its on position by spring (32) and the brake release lever (24) is moved from the recess (33) to ramp (34) of latch (25) to release the brake. |
