PURPOSE:To realize a servocontrol system for a data surface which permits high density recording and has good SNR by the constitution in which the 2nd thin magnetic film is coated directly or via a non-magnetic layer on the 1st thin magnetic film consisting of a cobalt alloy contg. germanium and platinum on a base consisting of Cr or Ag. CONSTITUTION:A non-magnetic base body 1 includes base bodies formed by polishing the surface of an alumite coated aluminum alloy, and a nickel-phosphor alloy coated aluminum alloy. An underlying layer 2 consisting of Cr or Ag is coated on such base body and further the 1st thin magnetic film 3 for servocontrol consisting of a cobalt alloy contg. germanium and platinum is coated on the layer 2. A non-magnetic layer 4 consisting of W, Ti, Ni-p, Zr, Ta, Hf, Cu, Ag, Au, Si, Ge, B, C, Mo, Nb, V, Mn, Cr, Ru, Rh, Pb, Os, Ir, Pt, Zn, Cd, Sn, Pb or Al or their oxide, nitride or carbide or oxide, nitride or carbide of Co, Fe or Ni is formed thereon and the 2nd thin magnetic film 5 for data information is coated on said non-magnetic layer. A protective film 6 is further coated thereon. |
