Nitrogen-containing mixed phosphoric and boric esters of the general formula <IMAGE> in which k is 0 or 1, m, n and q independently of one another are an integer from 1 to 100, A<1>, A<2> and A<3> are a 1,2-alkylene group, L<1> and L<2> are a hydrogen atom or a derivatised boric acid radical, L<3> is a nitrogen-containing derivatised boric acid radical, x, y and z assume a value of 1 or 2 and x or y additionally assume a value of 0 and x + y + z = 3, and their mixtures, as well as the use of these in hydraulic fluids.
