A mixture of polyacrylic acid and polystyrene sulphonic acid or a salt thereof are used in a process for manufacturing minute capsules by in situ polymerisation of a urea or melamine formaldehyde polymeric material in an aqueous manufacturing vehicle. The resulting capsules may be used in pressure-sensitive copying materials.
