The completely-metal heat insulation consists of elements having a box housing in which flat metal foils are arranged parallel to one another, these metal foils projecting freely on the mutually opposite sides and, after installation in the heat insulation, being bridged by loosely inserted strips which likewise consist of metal foils and whose edges overlap the edges of the metal foils, which are located opposite at the same installed height, of adjacent elements.
