The invention relates to a cover for extremity ends, especially hands and feet, as a germ barrier and for demarcation of the operation field in surgical interventions. The bag-like or sac-like, medical, germ-impermeable, sealable covering for the reception and isolation of extremity ends is essentially characterised by a pocket 1 having an upper part 2, a lower part 3 and a strip-like extension (tape) projecting from either side of the pocket opening 5, such that the lower part 3 projects over the upper part 2 at the pocket opening 5 to such an extent that there is an area of the lower part 3 which is not covered by the upper part 2, that the tapes 6, 7 and the lower part 3 form a common (lower) edge 10, that the upper edge 10' of the tapes 6, 7 behind the pocket opening 5 ends in the pocket and that at least the tapes 6, 7 are adhesive on their area 8 facing the lower part 2.
