The checking device uses lotteries or bingo type cards where multiple groups of selections are made on a grid format sheet. The checking is performed by use of a flat plate with a row of numbered columns. - The edges of the plate (1) are serrated (5) with the trough of a serration corresponding to the centre of a numbered column. When the results are known an elastic band (4) is positioned over the notches corresponding to the numbers occuring in the result. The outcome of each selection group is then readily checked against the rubber bands.
