In amusement devices in the manner of a water ride, one problem consists in connecting to one another the portions of the basin forming a water-conducting channel firmly, but also in a sealing manner in order to minimise the very expensive loss of water during the operation of such devices. For this purpose, the invention proposes the arrangement of frames (7, 8), engaging in one another in a sawtooth manner, at the end of each portion (6) of the basin, the frames (7, 8) being shaped so as to widen upwards in a trapezium shape and to be open at the top. In this case, it is sufficient to clamp the frames (7, 8) together at their upper ends by means of vertically directed screws (22) in order to connect the frames (7, 8) to one another in a sealing manner along their entire length. For this purpose, covering strips (20, 21) are used which run along the edges of the portions (6) of the basin, are connected to them and grip over the frames (7, 8) in some places and are screwed thereto in an overlapping manner. <IMAGE>
