PURPOSE:To obtain a small-sized ion sensor having high performance by forming an ion sensitive film by electrolytic oxidation polymn. of a hydroxy arom. compd. or nitrogenous arom. compd. on the surface of a conductive base body and forming a film consisting of a plasma-polymerized org. monomer on the surface of said film. CONSTITUTION:The compd. expressed by the formula I (Ar is an arom. nucleous, R is H and a substituent, l, m are >=1, l+m does not exceed the effective valency of Ar) or the compd. expressed by the formula II (Ar, R are the same as those of the formula I , p, q are >=1, and p+q does not exceed the effective valency of Ar, where p may be 0 when Ar contains N atom) is subjected to an electrolytic oxidation polymn. to form an ion sensitive film 12 on a conductive base body 11. A polymerized film 13 of styrene, silane, etc. or the monomer expressed by the formulas I , II is formed to cover the film 12 as an ion selective separating and protective film. A small sized sensor that can be inserted into a body is made manufacturable by using a metallic wire for the body 11. The measurement of pH and ion concn. in a biofluid such as blood or the like with good responsiveness is thus made possible. |
