PURPOSE:To make the effective use of solar heat throughout the year by a method wherein in case where a heating operation is required in winter, solar heat collected passively is taken into the room and in case where no heating operation is required in summer, solar heat is actively collected so as to be utilized for a supply of hot water instead of introducing the collected solar heat into the room. CONSTITUTION:In case where a heating operation is performed in a passive manner, a rear plate 3a of a casing 3 is removed together with a heat insulating material 4', water in a solar heat collecting plate 2 is removed and a tank 1 is filled with water by sealing an outlet pipe 1b of the tank 1. when the solar rays applies on the solar heat collecting plate 2, solar heat is absorbed by the plate 2 so that the water in the tank 1 is heated by the conduction of the solar heat. Thus the solar heat collected by the solar heat collecting plate 2 is stored as hot water in the tank 1. Then the heat of the hot water in the tank is discharged from the rear surface of the tank 1 open to the interior of the room due to radiation and a natural convection so that the room is heated. On the contrary, in summer or in a season in which solar heat is not used for heating, the water in the tank 1 is first removed and the rear plate 3a attached with the heat insulating material 4' is attached to the casing 3 so that the heat insulating property of the rear surface of the unit increases to prevent the collected solar heat from being introduced into the room. |
