PURPOSE:To improve the operability and the workability for correction, by converting reversely a Kana (Japanese syllabary) character or a Kana character string to Romaji (method of writing Japanese in Roman spelling) again when an erroneous input is corrected from an input part. CONSTITUTION:For example, ''KABUSIKU'' is inputted erroneously in Romaji though ''KABUSIKI'' should be inputted. This error is found by the Hiragana (cursive form of Japanese sullabary) display on the display screen of a display part 7, and erroneous Hiragana ''ku'' is corrected to Hiragana ''ki''. In this case, when a back space key on a keyboard of an input part 1 is depressed once, Hiragana ''u'' is converted reversely to Romaji ''KU'' in a Romaji-Kana converting part 3 by the program control of a control part 4. Thereafter, only vowel ''U'' is erased, and only ''K'' is left in an input buffer 2. When a key I is inputted to input ''KI'', and it is converted to Hiaragana ''ki'' by the converting part 3 to perform the correct input. Thus, it is sufficient if only an erroneous vowel is inputted with a key for correction. |
