PURPOSE:To reduce drop-out particularly in an intermediate tone region and obtain a dye transfer body capable of giving a favorable recorded image, by providing a sublimable dye layer on a base consisting of a paper loaded with a high molecular weight composition in hollow parts. CONSTITUTION:A thermal head 1 is faced to the base 4 of the dye transfer body 2, which base 4 consists of a paper loaded with a high molecular weight composition 3 in the hollow parts. The sublimable dye layer 5 is faced to an image- receiving body 6, and a sublimable dye is transferred from the layer 5 onto the image-receiving body 6 in accordance with a signal inputted to the thermal head 1, thereby producing a recorded image. When the density of the paper is not lower than 0.7g/cm<3>, the composition 3 can be easily held by a fibrous part of the paper, so that a favorable result can be obtained. When the composition is a photo-curing type resin, it can be easily hardened in a short time by irradiating with ultraviolet rays or the like after loading the resin in an unhardened condition into the paper by vacuum impregnation or the like, which is particularly advantageous. |
