PURPOSE:To enhance color-developing property and preservability of an image, by incorporating a fluoran derivative having beta-ketoacylamino skeleton as a partial skeleton and a phenol derivative. CONSTITUTION:The fluoran derivative preferably has a melting point of 70- 200 deg.C, and is appropriately selected in accordance with the phenol derivative used. Among beta-ketoacylamino groups, acetoacetylamino group, benzoylacetylamino group or the like is advantageous in that it can be most easily synthesized and is easily available. A preferable compound among phenol derivatives is one having at least one phenolic hydroxyl group. The recording material has a sufficient developed color density and a sufficient color-developing sensitivity, and the coloring matter being developed is remarkably stable, which is particularly advantageous from the viewpoint of preservation of a record for a long period of time. |
