PURPOSE:To prevent a projection of a work from being machined out of shape, by providing two parallel wire grooves in the wire guide, thereby enabling simultaneous machining of the projection from both sides by two wire electrodes. CONSTITUTION:Two wire grooves 4 are provided in parallel in the wire guide 5' of a wire cut electric discharge machine, on which grooves two wire electrodes 3 are allowed to run. The both sides of the I-shaped projection 2 of the work 1 are simultaneously machined by electric discharge by the two wire electrode 3. The left and right discharges are thus balanced and the I-shaped projection is prevented from going out of shape, e.g., from deforming or bending. |
