PURPOSE:A method for producing easily and continuously a baglike sheet particularly suitable as a fender, float or the like, by filling a quilted longer baglike body with thermoplastic foamable resin particles, and supplying steam to allow them to foam. CONSTITUTION:Two pieces of woven fabric or knitted cloth are connected at desired sections by connecting threads 20, a plurality openings 11, 12 are formed at the peripheries thereof to allow a raw material loading pipe 41 and a steam supplying pipe 42 to be inserted and the remaining peripheral sections thereof are closed so that the quilted longer baglike body 10 is formed. After thermoplastic foamable resin particles are introduced via the raw material loading pipe 41 into part of the longer baglike body 10, steam is supplied via the steam supplying pie 42 to heat the foamable resin particles thereby expanding them to form a foamed body to fill the part of the longer baglike body 10, and this procedure is repeated to continuously produce a baglike sheet 1. As this baglike sheet is filled completely with a foamed body, the weight thereof is quite light, and the baglike sheet is excellent in durability. Thus a baglike sheet is excellent in durability. Thus a baglike sheet particularly suitable for a fender can be easily and continuously produced. |
