PURPOSE:To make it possible to form embossings of cloth pattern on the surface of a molded item without using expensive molds, by using a bag bode made of woven fabric or knitted cloth as a mold in a foam molding method. CONSTITUTION:The opposite ends of a bag body indicated at numerals 15, 25 are pressed and closed by projections 11', 21' of box frames 11, 21, and the cavity 3 of the bag body is filled with foramable resin particles that are introduced via a raw material introducing pipe 41. As a material for the foamable resin particles is used a polyolefin type resin and a polystyrene type resin are at least partially graft-bonded. Then steam is supplied via steam supply pipes 13, 23 into steam chambers 14, 24. As the bag body allows steam to penetrate thereinto, the foamable resin particles therein are heated to exapand thereby foam- molding is performed. According to this method, as the foam-molding is effected using the bag body made of woven fabric or knitted cloth, embossings of cloth pattern can be formed without using expensive molds. |
