In high-vacuum technology or in acceleration technology for example, metal bellows are required in order to provide, for example, movable but vacuum-tight leadthroughs and connections. For this purpose, metal lamellae have thus far been welded to one another at their inner and outer periphery by shielded arc welding. This method is expensive and has a number of technological disadvantages. These disadvantages are removed according to the invention by each weld being produced by laser-beam welding by means of a pulsed laser beam, the pulse sequence and feed rate of the laser beam along the weld being matched to one another in such a way that the welding spots overlap far enough in order to form a continuous, vacuum-tight weld. |
