PURPOSE:To obtain a simplified and stabilized ink jet recording device by a method wherein electric fields for applying the compensating deflection to ink particles are given to charging electrodes so as to compensate tilt distortion. CONSTITUTION:Information signals 36a and 36b are connected to charging electrodes 37a and 37b in a pair, respectively. When it is desired to obtain an image free from tilt distortion irrespective of the directions X and X' of the movement of an ink jet recording element 3, it suffices to generate compensating electric fields in the directions opposite to said directions of the movement respectively. In other words, when the ink jet recording element 3 moves in the direction X, compensating electric fields are generated by compensation signals Vc and Vc' so as to apply to ink particles 35 the compensating deflection in the direction x' reverse to the direction X of the movement. When the element 3 moves in the direction X', compensating electric fields are generated by compensation signals Vb and Vb' so as to apply to the ink particles the compensating deflection in the direction (x) reverse to the direction X' of the movement. By this method, the image free from the tilt distortion can be obtained even when the movement is made in both directions X and X'. |
