PURPOSE:To enable a decision of gear wearing to be performed even when the moving bed of a machine tool is in operation, needless to say in a stationary state, by constituting a detector such that whether or not driving and driven gears wear beyond their tolerance is decided by utilizing three detecting signals. CONSTITUTION:In an abnormal condition detector of a device which lifts a heavy weighted material as in a cross rail of a portal plano miller, tightening members 16a, 16b are fixedly provided on a rotary shaft 14 securing a worm wheel 11, and a magnet 30 is mounted to the upper end of a plate shaped stay 19 integrally provided with this tightening member 16b. Next, in an electric circuit diagram for detection of an abnormal condition, when each output signal of magnetic sensors 31a, 31b and an output signal from a magnetic sensor 34 are not given, an AND circuit 36 feeds an output signal to an alarm device 37, and wearing of a worm shaft 10 and the worm wheel 11 beyond their tolerance is alarmed. |
