PURPOSE:To control the air-fuel ratio optimally according to the operational conditions of an engine, by controlling the incremental value of fuel on the basis of the integration value of a fuel increment integrator operated at the timing at which signals relating to rotation of the engine are produced. CONSTITUTION:An O2-sensor 1 produces a high-level signal when the density of residual oxygen in the exhaut gas of an engine is low. A comparator 2 compares the output S of the O2-sensor 1 with a reference level REF and gives instruction to an integrator 3 to effect ''up-count'' or ''down-count''. The integrator 3 adds a correction value to a basic integration value each time an engine speed signal N is given to the same. By using an integration output OUT for the control of the fuel injection rate, the feedback speed is varied with the engine speed and the fuel injection rate. By employing such a method, it is enabled to control the air-fuel ratio according to the operational conditions of an engine. |
