PURPOSE:To improve the titled device in its torque, by arranging such that a power may be given from a second dynamotor directly coupled with the rotating shaft of engine to a first dynamotor directly coupled with an exhaust turbine, during a low speed and high load operating condition, and thereby driving an intake compressor directly coupled with a turbine shaft. CONSTITUTION:While an exhaust manifold 2 of engine 1 has an exhaust turbine 3 connected with the top end thereof, an intake compressor 11 and a first dynamotor 12 are directly coupled with a turbine shaft 3c. A second dynamotor 13 is connected to the rotating shaft 1a of engine via gears 7b, 7a. Detecting values of intake air flow meter 19, tachometer 20 and the like are inputted to a control device 22 together with a load signal LD. The electricity of first dynamotor 12 is recovered by the second dynamotor 13 via a switch 18 and a frequency conversion circuit 14 during a normal operation. On the contrary, the intake compressor 11 is driven by the first dynamotor 12 to improve the device in its torque during a low speed and high load operating condition. |
