MAGNETIC VIDEO RECORDING AND REPRODUCING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To obtain the satisfactory relative speed between a magnetic tape and magnetic head for record/reproduction of sound signal, by adding said magnetic head to a rotary cylinder containing a magnetic head for video reproduction and performing successively the recording an reproducing with an inclination given to the lengthwise direction of a magnetic tape. CONSTITUTION:Video heads 2a and 2b and audio heads 5a and 5b having different inclinations of head gaps are attached to a rotary cylinder 1 with the 60 deg. positional relation to each other. Then a magnetic tape 3 is wound spirally to the cylinder 1 by tape guides 16 and 17 with a fixed angle to the rotary shaft of the cylinder 1. When the cylinder 1 is revolved toward an arrow B, the video signals are recorded by the heads 2a and 2b to the tape 3 traveling toward an arrow A in the form of record loci 4a and 4b. While the heads 5a and 5b draw the scan loci 6a and 6b which overlap said loci 4a and 4b respectively.
