PURPOSE:To reduce man-hour for the working of a cylinder and the area of installation by a method wherein an eccentric ring is fitted into the cylinder and the cylinders are located in parallel on a plane vertical to the rotary shaft of a crank shaft to form a connecting rod integrally. CONSTITUTION:When the crank shaft 2 is rotated, pistons 24-27 reciprocate with a predetermined phase and respective cylinders 4-7 suck and discharge low pressure refrigerant gas. The eccentric rings 35 are fitted into both ends of the piston 28 and the connecting rods 30, 31, connected to the pistons 24, 25 equipped in one set of cylinders 4, 5, are formed integrally, therefore, the one set of cylinders 4, 5 are located on one plane vertical to the rotating axis of the crank shaft 2. According to this method, the lengths of the compressor and the crank shaft may be shotened compared with conventional compressor or crank shaft by a dimension corresponding to the thicknesses of the connecting rods 30, 31, therefore, the area of installation of the compressor may be reduced, the length of the rank shaft may be shortened and the design strength of the crank shaft may be set lower than the same in conventional design. |
