摘要 PURPOSE:To provide a brazing material which improves the resistance of the joint part of members having different coeffts. of thermal expansion to thermal impact by incorporating metallic elements which increase the hydrogen absorbing power of base alloys for the brazing filler material into said alloys. CONSTITUTION:About 0.05-5wt% metallic elements which increase hydrogen absorbing power, for example, >=1 kind selected from Li, Na, K, Be, Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, Al, Sc, Y, La, Ti, Zr, Hf, V, Nb and Ta are incorporated into various kinds of base alloys for a brazing filler material such as silver solder, copper solder, Ni solder or the like. Such brazing filler material is suitable for brazing ceramics to each other or ceramics to a metallic member and minimizes the thermal stress to be generated between both members. The hydrogen generated on the surface of the metal is absorbed by the brazing filler material in the stage of brazing and therefore the brazing operation is accomplished easily in air.
