PURPOSE:To enable use of a ferrule in multiple times and to permit stud welding at higher efficiency and lower cost by bisecting the ferrule in a stud welding machine, attaching links respectively thereto and attaching and detaching the ferrules to a dowel by the effect of a spring. CONSTITUTION:The ferrule of a stud welding machine is bisected to halved bodies 1, 2, and a dowel 10 is inserted in the aperture 27 between both bodies. When the welding machine body is pressed to a welding object 19, a working rod 11 contacts with a welding object 10 via a base 18 and the links 25, 26 attached to the bodies 1, 2 retreat until the links contact with a spring rest 16. Then the links retreat by overcoming the force of a compression spring 17 and the bodies 1, 2 approach each other and come into contact under pressure with a dowel 10, thereby performing stud welding. If the welding machine body is detached from the object 19 upon ending of welding, the links 25, 26 are pushed by the spring 17 and are lowered, by which the bodies 1, 2 are opened. The ferrule is repreatedly usable and the cost of welding is reduced. |
