PURPOSE:To divide a rolling material into steel bars, etc. of plural threads in hot state without leaving defects such as burrs by introducing the material to a movable blade with the aid of a guide roll to cut it into plural threads and separating them further with the aids of press extending rolls. CONSTITUTION:A rolling material 35 having a joining part 36 and a gourd- shaped cross section is supplied to guide rolls 7 to engage the part 36 with the flange parts 9 of the rolls 7, and the part 36 is cut and separated with the aid of a moving blade 16 by surely aligning its center with the tip of the blade 16. The blade 16 tip is prevented from the overheating produced at the time of cutting, because the blade 16 is vertically moved with the aid of a lifting cylinder 27 and is always cooled with the aid of a cooling nozzles. The cut and separated rolling materials are passed through a guide hole 15 of a plate box 13 and fed to press extending rolls 30 to press extend the distance between cut pieces so as to separate them easily.
