PURPOSE:To reduce the cost of water shield work by a method in which a paper tube whose folding pieces are bent inwards is penetrated into a portion where water shield work is to be performed in soil layer mixed with a soil solidifying agent, having a high moisture ratio, or soil layer where water-cement ratio would be raised, and the paper cylinder is slightly pulled up and then discarded as such. CONSTITUTION:A paper tube 1 formed by lapping and rolling a water-resistant paper with the aid of an adhesive is penetrated into a sludgy soil layer mixed with a soil solidifying agent, having a high moisture ratio, or soil layer where water-cement ratio would be raised because of the presence of ground water, where water shield work is to be performed. In the paper tube 1, the length is made slightly longer than the depth of the portion A to be water-sealed, large-numbers of cuts 2 are provided in the lower end portion of the paper tube 1, and the folding pieces 3 of the paper tube 1 are bent inwards. After penetrating the paper tube 1, the tube 1 is slightly returned in its opposite direction, whereupon the folding pieces 3 are pushed downwards by sand and soil and become a right-angled state to the side face of the paper tube 1 to form a mutually engaged shield effect. The efficiency of water shield work can thus be raised and the cost of the work can be reduced. |
