PURPOSE:To estimate highly accurately a measuring value of sheet thickness in case of calculating the sheet thickness at the outlet side by using equations consisting of a draft position, a mill elongation quantity, and a rolling load, by determining coefficients of said equations by using a nonlinear regression anslysis of the equations of elongation quantity where the mill elongation quantity at the time of zero adjustment is made constant. CONSTITUTION:The sheet thickness H at the outlet side of a mill is calculated by using equations ( I ), (II), (III); where S: draft position, K: mill elongation quantity, F: rolling load at the time of rolling, and KPe: mill elongation, Fo: rolling load at the time of zero adjustment of the mill. Coefficients a1-a3 are calculated by measuring an absolute value of mill elongation quantity Kpoa at the time of zero adjustment and making it constant, and using nonlinear regression analysis of an equation (IV). The Kpoa is a dummy coefficient in determining the a1-a3 at the time of the regression calculation. Because the mill elongation quantitites are formed into numerical equations by expressing then as continuous functions, the sheet thickness is estimated highly accurately by a small number of coefficients, and the information to be processed is reduced. |
