PURPOSE:To permit to open or close a fuel inlet port and an air extracting path by the operation of a fuel cock only by a method wherein the fuel cock and an air extracting valve are interlocked through an interlocking means and the air extracting valve is energized by a spring. CONSTITUTION:When the operating lever 18c of the fuel cock is positioned at the closed position C thereof, the inflow of the fuel is stopped and the air extracting valve is also closed. Next, when it is pivoted to the opening position O, the fuel inlet port and a filtrating material accommodating chamber 10 are communicated and the fuel oil is supplied to a fuel pump. Further, when it is pivoted to an air extracting position A, the valve port 19 of the fuel cock 18 continues to communicate with the through hole 15b of a seal member 15 as well as a communicating hole 17 under a condition that it is slightly eccentric with respect to them, further, a cam surface 21a pushes the tip end 20a of the air extracting valve 20 against the spring, a communicating gap is generated between the outer periphery of the valve 20 and the inner periphery of an inserting hole 27 and air bubbles are discharged to a fuel exit path 13 through an air extracting path 33. According to this method, the fuel inlet port and the air extracting path may be opened or closed by the operation of the fuel cock only. |
