PURPOSE:To reduce shearing force to be imparted to a building during the earthquake by a method in which a footing connecting the head of a pile is separated into upper and lower two stages, and an attenuation material is interposed in the middle of the upper and lower stages. CONSTITUTION:A footing is made up of a pile cap 13 connected to the head of a pile 11 and a footing 14 connected to the superstructure 12 of a building. An attenuation material 15, e.g., gravel, etc., is interposed between the footing 14 and the cap 13. The number of piles 11 and the weight of the superstructure 12 can thus be reduced. |
