<p>A device is disclosed for the continuous, even coatings with a liquid coating material, of a web of material running over a counter roll, said device having an air nozzle arrangement disposed adjacent to the counter roll and rotatable about a central longitudinal axis for removing excess coating material from a web of material and for smoothing the coating. The air nozzle arrangement has two nozzles extending over at least the width of the web of material and symmetrically offset on both sides of the central longitudinal axis by 180.degree., each nozzle having two nozzle lips fitted on to nozzle lip supports mounted on a housing of the air nozzle arrangement. The convergent nozzle lip supports are adjustably mounted on the housing in the direction of the width of the nozzle slot. In each case one nozzle lip support in the area adjacent the housing has a reduced cross-section compared to the other nozzle lip support. The nozzle lip supports of each nozzle are interconnected by adjustably disposed tension and pressure devices distributed along the nozzle.</p> |
