PURPOSE:To manufacture a bottom plate with high efficiency by fixing one end of a blank material for a bottom plate body to one end of a bending die having the outside surface shape conforming to the shape of the finished bottom plate body, and moving a bending roll from the fixed end toward the other end thereby bending the blank material. CONSTITUTION:One end of a blank material A' for a bottom plate body cut to a prescribed shape of a flat plate is fixed to one end of a bending die 12 having the outside surface shape conforming to the shape of the bottom plate body in a finished state. A freely rotatable bending roll 8 is moved in this state from the fixed end side of the material A' toward the other end along the die 12 while a specified pressure is exerted on the material A'. The material A' is thus bent along the die 12 and the bottom plate is manufactured.
